This module excels at receiving and converting high-level analog signals (such as those from 4-20mA current loops or voltage transmitters) into digital data that the control system can process. 

Feature

High-Level Analog Input Capability: The module is designed to accept high-level analog signals, typically in ranges such as -40 mA to 20 mA or certain voltage ranges (e.g., 0-10 V, 1-5 V), from various industrial sensors and transmitters. This allows for direct connection and measurement of process variables like temperature, pressure, flow, and level.

Multi-Channel Input: The MC-TAIH02 typically provides 16 independent input channels. This high channel density allows for the simultaneous connection and monitoring of multiple sensors, making it efficient for applications requiring extensive data acquisition from various points in a process.

Compatibility

Honeywell Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS) DCS: This is its most common and intended environment, including various Series C and Series H controllers.

HLAI/STI FTAs (High-Level Analog Input / Smart Transmitter Interface Field Termination Assemblies): These FTAs provide the terminal blocks for connecting 16 high-level analog inputs or Smart Transmitter Interface (STI) devices. The module itself plugs into these FTAs.

Smart Transmitter Interface (STI): Designed to interface with smart field devices using digital communication protocols like HART, allowing for enhanced data exchange beyond just the primary process variable.
